Home of the Rowdy Riders Saddle Club
The Rowdy Riders are still riding every Friday night starting at 7, we do 6 Gymkhana events with paybacks. Non members are always welcome. We always have the concession and the tack shop open for our events. Spectators are always welcome at our facility. October 12th, will begin our Saturday rides for the club. Our members are welcome to ride in the Avondale Veterans Parade on Oct. 5th. If you are interested please contact me.
Sept. 1st at the 4-S Gathering Cowboy Church, 10 am, at the big white barn located at the Walk-A-Mile Arena, musical guests will be the Kempters. This is an awesome family that play and sing Bluegrass Gospel Music. The public is invited to share the music of this talented family.
Sept. 7th, 10 am Mounted Riders Versus Cart drivers. The events will be pole bending, barrels, Mounted shooting/cart shooting, The Pony express & Stage Coach Challenge. Any one is allowed to participate. If you have a mini and cart or would like to use a regular sized horse you will be welcome. On Sept. 8th. and Sept 15th. at the 4-S Gathering Cowboy Church,at 10 am, our musical guests will be Slim Pickin. The music and humor these two guys bring with them is really something and we'd love to have you come out and listen to them.
On Sept. 22nd, our musical guest at the 4-S Gathering will be Gary Lear. He always has a great message and a beautiful voice. We will also be having a Ranch Rodeo here. Please see flyer and contact Dan Henrichs 251-7891 or Doug Thacker, 948-2608, for more information. We will also have a BBQ lunch , $5 a plate. This Rodeo is sponsored by the Pueblo County Stockmen's Assoc. and the 4-S Gathering Cowboy church. Calcutta starts at 12:30 with the rodeo immediately following.
On Sept. 29th. Our friend Barry Ward will be performing for our 4-S Gathering service, 10 am. Barry also brings us great messages and wonderful music.
